Key difference of the Schedule 2.0 vs. Sitedrive legacy

The main change is the implementation of Gantt, line-of-balance, and takt schedules as alternative views to the same schedule. Previously separate schedules have now been consolidated into one.

The change was enabled by revamping location management through space model and location breakdown structures.

1. Space Model

The purpose of the project's space model is to define the actual spaces involved in the project, such as apartments or other clear physical boundaries that can be tied to specific plans, like module dimensions. Based on the space model, location breakdown structures are planned.

2. Location Breakdowns

The project's location breakdowns are designed to align with the actual locations used in task management, leveraging the physical locations of the space model. This allows for a high-level view of the project schedule, such as through floors, blocks, sections, or alternatively as part of weekly planning with precise locations, like takt areas.

3. Project Phases

In the new Sitedrive Schedule, projects can consist of multiple project phases. Each project phase has its own space model. Within a project phase, multiple location breakdowns can be created to meet the needs of the construction site. Schedules within a single project phase are automatically linked together based on a common space model.

Separate project phases can be used, for example, to differentiate between the project development phase and the construction phase schedules. Information from project phases can also be copied to create a new project phase, for instance, when transitioning from development to production.

4. Editing Schedules

Now you can work on the same schedule in Gantt, flowline / line-of-balance and takt views. Changes made in one view will automatically update in others. This feature allows you to conveniently create a general schedule in Gantt mode and plan detailed weekly schedules in takt view based on location breakdowns.

5. Schedule Progress Updates

Task statuses and completion levels can be modified in any selected schedule view and mode - changes will automatically reflect elsewhere.

Furthermore, tasks can also be marked as started or completed directly from the construction site using the mobile application.
