The schedule templates and the work package library speed up the planning of schedules and ensure the utilization of best practices across projects.
Schedule Templates
From the account settings, account admin can create schedule templates. These templates significantly expedite the scheduling process for new projects, especially when the project includes standardized work packages defined at the company level.
Templates can be categorized into the company's own classifications, such as residential, commercial, and renovation construction.
Templates do not include location breakdowns, as each project features a unique space model. The allocation of templates to spaces should be carried out when modifying the selected schedule for the project.
New templates can be created from the project phases of the company account. This process involves copying the task packages from the scheduling tasks of the project phase into the new template.
Start creating a template by pressing Create template...
When creating and editing schedule templates, users have the option to lock specific task packages. If a task package is locked, it cannot be removed from any schedule that uses the locked template.
Additionally, multiple versions of each template can be created, allowing the account administrators to decide which version will be used for new project schedules.
The "used by" column indicates how many project phases utilize each template.
Work Package Library
Through the Sitedrive work package library, users can leverage standardized task package hierarchies and work sequences from the company's previous Gantt charts. This allows for greater efficiency and consistency in project scheduling.
Users can add work packages and task sequences to the library by selecting the desired work packages from the schedule view, right-clicking, and choosing "Add to Library."
When viewing and adding work packages to the Gantt chart, the selected hierarchy is saved for reuse in future Gantt schedules. Additionally, Takt sequences can be saved from the Takt view.
The hierarchies and task sequences stored in the library can be utilized in schedules by simply dragging the selected items into the schedule view.
