Version 2.3.4 (March 18, 2025)

Version restore and comprehensive undo, new status colors, and a French version

New Features

Significant New Feature: Version History

You can now restore the schedule to almost any previous change.

  • The change history is shared across the entire project phase.
    • When restoring, all changes (including those made by others!) are reverted.
    • The schedule reverts to the selected moment with all its information. More details on the included information are provided below.
  • The change history is shared across the entire project phase, so restoring also reverses changes made by others.
  • You can save a specific version by naming it. This allows you to easily restore to that version.
  • Canceling a restore is also possible by selecting the version before the restore.
  • Statuses are included in the version history, so restoring an old version also removes all changes made to statuses.
  • Note! Version history begins accumulating from the release of this update. Unfortunately, it is not possible to revert to changes made before this point for technical reasons.

Undo / Redo Now Use Version History

  • Undo and redo are now more comprehensive, covering all changes in the version history (such as hierarchy changes, work package name changes, etc.).
  • The function is currently slightly slower than before, as the entire schedule must be recalculated during restoration.
  • The same previous limitation remains: undo does not revert changes made by other users. Therefore, undo works more limitedly when editing simultaneously.

New Status Colors - Delayed (Not Started) & Verified

  • "Delayed (Not Started)" and "Delayed (Started)" are now differentiated in status colors.
  • Added "Verified" status color. This color appears if the work package has quality tasks. When the work package is completed and the quality tasks are checked off, the package color turns dark green.

French Version Added and Other Language Translations Updated

Added a French version. Missing translations have also been added to other language versions.

(Beta) Relative Progress Line

Testing a third type of progress line, which aims to show delays or on-schedule status in workdays.

If the current progress lines are insufficient and you want to test a new type of calculation, send a message to customer support!

Corrections

  • The new printing feature now prints status colors if they are on.
  • The current moment line now stays in the correct position when viewed outside of working hours.
  • Work packages dropped from the library now go to the correct place in the hierarchy when the work package context is active in the takt view.
  • Improved performance of the resource histogram.
  • The team menu is now at least as wide as the longest team name.
  • Improved loading animations.

Additional Version History Details

Please note that certain actions in the user interface are logged multiple times in the version history (currently, for example, adding deadlines). Restoring these should be done to the last related entry.

Restored in Version Restoration:

  • Calendar (working hours, holidays, timeline notes, time zone, and work time exceptions)
  • Space Model
  • Content of Location Breakdowns (including space divisions into areas, but not the name of the Location Breakdown)
  • All details of work packages, including:
    • Deadlines (including starred mark in views)
    • Values of custom fields
    • Team links (team definitions are not included - if a team is deleted, it will display "Unknown Team" - if the link is broken, create a new team and link it to the work package)
    • Responsible person links (if a person is removed from the site, "Unknown User" will be displayed as the responsible person - these links should be removed)
  • All details of tasks, but:
    • Linked photos are not removed
  • Statuses
    • When restoring, all status changes are reverted. Please update the statuses to correspond to the current moment as needed.
  • Order of work packages and positions of texts in schedule views
  • Quantities (general information, distribution into spaces, links to tasks)

Not included in version history:

  • Access rights and user information
  • Definitions of custom fields (values are restored, but the column is not)
  • Supplier information
  • Team definitions (users, name, color)
  • Status comments and comments
  • Photos
  • Schedule view settings (name, mobile visibility, area division link)
  • Filters
  • Highlights
  • Information stored in the work package library or schedule templates
  • Visible takt times (1h, 2h, 4h)
  • Row heights in schedule views
  • General settings of project phases (work phase classification link, name, code)

For API users:

  • Task API: Status history is not restored/deleted
  • Modified_at updates with each version restoration
  • Deleted_at field is set to null if the record is restored
