Site external ID, show LoB lines as segments, preparation for bigger UX update
This release focuses on quality-of-life improvements and introduces a powerful new visualization option for the Line of Balance view. Additionally, it contains significant under-the-hood updates as we prepare for a major evolution of the core application later this year.
New Features & Improvements
-
Custom Line of Balance Visualization: You now have the option to show Line of Balance (LoB) lines as distinct segments instead of continuous lines. This new visualization helps highlight the individual work package components that make up the overall flow. You can access this feature by right-clicking a work package in the LoB view and selecting "Show as detailed work packages." This setting is saved to your personal user preferences.
-
Enhanced Site Settings: We've made site administration more flexible:
-
You can now add an External ID for your site via the Site Settings menu.
-
The Address field is no longer mandatory when creating or editing a site.
-
We fixed an issue that prevented some users from changing the site's name.

Behind the Scenes: Preparing for the Future
This update includes over 40 changes related to a major evolution of the Sitedrive browser application, which will start rolling out towards the end of the year. These changes don't affect the current application.
We are simplifying the core scheduling experience with a comprehensive update to navigation, schedule views, and location breakdown management. This exciting update is aimed at delivering a faster, more intuitive platform, keeping the best parts of Sitedrive you already know.
The new version will first go into targeted validation with specific customers to ensure quality and gather feedback before rolling out more generally. We look forward to sharing more details about this major step forward soon!
