Access and set-up
Why don’t I see any sites?
You only see sites you have been added to. Check that you signed in with the same email address or sign-in method that your invitation was sent to. If the list is still empty, ask the person who manages your site to give you access. See Signing in, browsers and language.
Which browser should I use?
Sitedrive web works best in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a computer. Mozilla Firefox also works. We recommend not using Safari. On the phone, use Sitedrive Mobile instead.
I can’t find the mobile app in the store.
Use the link in your invitation email, or the App Store and Google Play links in Installing Sitedrive Mobile and signing in.
How do I move a site from Planning to Production?
On the home page, open the site card’s options menu (⋯) and select Start production phase. The option appears only while the site is in Planning, and only for users with the Site role or Account admins. There’s no option to move back to Planning; contact support at support@sitedrive.com if you need that. Status reporting isn’t possible while a site is in Planning, and in some accounts fewer users can be invited. Sitedrive Mobile opens only sites in the Production phase, because sites that are not in production can’t take status updates. See Creating a site.
Why don’t I see the Issues tab, View settings or version history?
- The Issues tab in Sitedrive Mobile needs Accept rights or higher.
- View settings and managing views need Schedule or Site rights.
- Version history needs Refine rights or higher. Restoring and naming versions needs Schedule or Site rights.
See Roles and what each one can do and the Permission matrix.
Status and colours
Why can’t I change a work package’s status?
Check these, in this order:
- The row is a sum or a master. Status is reported per area. Pick the work package in one area.
- It isn’t your work. Report, Accept, Refine (ltd) and Refine users can report only on work packages of their own team or where they are an assignee or owner.
- The site is in Planning. You see “Editing disabled while schedule is in planning mode”. See above.
- Tasks drive the progress. Once some tasks are ticked, the percentage follows the tasks and In progress is disabled.
- You are previewing an older version in version history, or the site is archived.
See Tracking progress.
Why is a finished work package still red?
It has an open blocker. A blocker overrides every other status, even Completed. Open the work package, check the Prerequisites tab and close the blocker. See Blockers, issues and quality tasks.
Why is my work package orange?
It is late. Work is late when it hasn’t started after its planned start, or is still in progress after its planned end. Completed work is never orange. If you think the work is finished, check that it really is at 100 % and not 99 %.
Colours are recalculated when the schedule data loads or changes. If a date has passed and the colour hasn’t changed yet, refresh the page. This matters most on site screens.
Why is a completed work package light green and not dark green?
Dark green (Verified) means completed with nothing left open. Light green means it is completed but still has an open issue or unmet quality tasks. Close them to reach Verified.
Why can’t I type a progress percentage on mobile?
A user with Schedule or Site rights must switch on Allow progress entry as percentage under Schedule settings › Basic settings › Mobile settings. See Reporting status on mobile.
Why is a late work package missing from “My late work” on mobile?
That list shows your teams’ items whose planned end passed within the last 100 days. A work package that is late only because its start has passed (its end is still ahead) is orange on the web but doesn’t appear in the list yet. See Finding your work on mobile.
Working with the schedule
How do I add comments to a work package?
Open the work package panel and select the comments icon. Write a comment and send it. To record the current situation, switch on the Status toggle, write a status comment and select Send status. The latest status comment appears in the Gantt Status comment column. On mobile, tap the comments icon in the Report row of the work package. See Photos, comments, blockers and issues on mobile.
How do I fix “Invalid work times”?
The schedule has overlapping or invalid work times. Open Schedule settings › Work time, edit the work times and remove or adjust ranges until the errors clear. Then save. See Working time and holidays.
How do I show Sitedrive on a TV in the site office?
Create a shared view with focus view and status colours, lock its settings and open it full screen on a computer connected to the TV. Data updates live, but add a browser auto-refresh extension with a long interval so late colours and Sitedrive updates are picked up. See Site screens.
