The Team swimlane view gives each team its own lane on the timeline. It answers a simple question: what is each team doing, and when? Use it to check a subcontractor’s workload, spot overlaps within one team, or walk through the plan team by team in a site meeting.
Before you start
Creating the view needs the Schedule, Site or Account admin right. Once it is shared, anyone it is shared with can open it as a tab. See Sharing views and locking settings.
Create a Team swimlane view
- Click + (View selection and management) in the header.
- Click New view → Grouped Gantt ›.
- Click Team swimlane.
The view opens in a new tab.
Read the view
- Each row is one team, for example Electrical or Painting & Flooring.
- Time runs from left to right.
- Each bar is a work package in one area, placed on its team’s lane. The area is kept, so you can still see where the team is working.
- Bars always use the team’s colour.
Good to know
- Custom colours set with Set color are not shown here; the team colour always wins.
- Changing a work package’s team moves it to the other team’s lane.
- Location breakdowns don’t apply to this view.
- By default, a team’s bars sit on one row so the lane stays compact.
